Sepoy Umer martyred in SW shootout

RAWALPINDI: A soldier of Pakistan Army has embraced martyrdom during an intense exchange of fire with terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Waziristan district, said a statement released by ISPR here on Tuesday.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement stated, “On 22 November 2022, fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists, in general area Sararogha, South Waziristan District”. Own troops effectively engaged the terrorist’s location, ISPR said, adding that during intense exchange of fire, Havaldar Umer Hayat (age 39 years, resident of Lachi, Kohat) having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat.
According to the military’s media affairs wing, sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
Pakistan Army was determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, the statement concluded. ISPR –Agencies
