BEIJING: In southwestern Shandong province, Juye has taken a multi-pronged effort to boost its strategy of “revitalizing the county through industry.”
To speed up its industrial economy, Juye county prioritizes on cultivating high-quality enterprises, said Huang Yingchun, director of the company office of Juye-based Shandong Jiale Smart Home Co Ltd.
During the past two years, the number of industrial enterprises with annual sales income surpassing 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) each has increased from 196 in 2022 to 248 currently, Huang said.
By selecting small and medium-sized enterprises with growth potential and strong innovation, the county-level leaders and related county departments worked to support them, leading to the emergence of 85 provincial-level specialized and refined enterprises in the county.
Meanwhile, the county has bolstered the enterprises’ technological transformation, with 75 technological transformation projects having been launched in the past two years, said Wang Mingfei, manager of the Storage and Transportation Department of Juye-based Shandong Keyuan Biochemical Co Ltd.
When all these projects are put into operation, their annual output value can be increased by 3.6 billion yuan, he said.
In addition, Juye also improved its incentive mechanism by awarding enterprises that demonstrated outstanding performance in several areas, such as expansion and technological innovation.
It has been learned that during the past two years, a total of 35 million yuan in reward funds have been distributed, with enterprise leaders being awarded honorary titles such as “development pioneers” to stimulate their enthusiasm for better development, Wang added.
Furthermore, the county also strengthened its economic analysis by organizing relevant departments to arrange and analyze major economic indicators every month, so as to study new situations and problems arising in its economic operations.
Going forward and by aiming for high-end, intelligent, green and integrated orientations, Juye county will strengthen equipment updates and digital empowerment, in a bid to better promote the high-quality development of its industrial economy, Huang noted. –The Daily Mail-China Daily news exchange item
