Karachi: Karachi Kings head coach Dean Jones has backed left-handed explosive batsman Sharjeel Khan and termed him as a special player when he is at the top of his game.
Former Australian added his point on Twitter regarding Sharjeel’s fitness after New Zealand’s pacer Mitchell McClenaghan shared his experience being with Sharjeel in Karachi Kings during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5.
“Spot on Mitch! We smashed him every day. Gym, fielding, the lot! And we have programs in place for Sharjeel to continue his fitness work! He is a special player when on song!” he replied to a post by McClenaghan who replied a question on Sharjeel’s fitness.
It is pertinent to mention that Dean was the head coach of the most followed franchise of PSL, Karachi Kings where the side finished second on the points table.
