ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Wednesday met British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on establishing a Telecom Emergency Early Warning System and Cell Broadcast services in Pakistan. The United Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to providing Pakistan with technical assistance for the development of the country’s Emergency Warning Policy and related technology.
Shaza Fatima issued directives to finalise the Emergency Warning Policy and submit it for final review by August 12, 2026.
