Shehbaz, Hamza’s bail extended

LAHORE: The FIA special court (central) on Tuesday extended the interim bails of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz till February 10 in the Rs25 billion money laundering case.
Approving Shehbaz Sharif’s application for exemption apparently due to coronavirus, the special judge of Central FIA Court extended the interim bails of both the leaders.
Later, talking to the newsmen outside the court in Lahore, Hamza Shehbaz said Imran Khan’s lies are being exposed one after another. “They lied to the public that billions were embezzled,” he added.
The leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly said all the cases against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif were false. “The Election Commissioner’s scrutiny committee has declared Imran Khan a ‘thief’,” he said. Hamza said that country was facing flour and sugar crises while farmers were struggling to buy fertilizers. He said people were even facing difficulties in purchasing a pill for fever due to shortages.
Hamza said that people who claimed to establish a new Pakistan have actually tricked the public. He further said that no progress has been made in cases against PML-N in the last four years. –Agencies
