Staff Report

ISLAMABAD: Shifa Foundation has launched its Pink Lady Campaign 2026 to promote breast cancer awareness, encourage early detection and highlight the importance of timely medical consultation and access to quality healthcare.
The campaign commenced at SZABIST University, Islamabad Campus, with an awareness session for students and faculty, led by Dr. Saeeda Yasmin of Shifa International Hospital.
The session focused on breast health, recognizing unusual changes and seeking timely medical advice.
An interactive question-and-answer session also provided participants with an opportunity to discuss their concerns and obtain reliable information about breast cancer prevention and early detection.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, observed in October, the campaign aims to extend its outreach to academic institutions, corporate organizations, development-sector partners, donors, philanthropic organizations and local communities.
Through these engagements, Shifa Foundation seeks to promote informed discussions about breast cancer, address misconceptions and encourage women to seek medical advice promptly when they notice any unusual changes.
The campaign also emphasizes the importance of making reliable health information accessible to women, families and communities, enabling them to make informed decisions about their health.
Shifa Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to building healthier communities through awareness, education and access to healthcare, stressing that early recognition of symptoms and timely medical evaluation can play an important role in improving breast cancer outcomes.
