Lahore: To understand China in true manner is possible by understand Chinese thousands years old rich culture which is not only informative but educative and having rich civilization the China is proud on its history and cultural heritages.
These views were expressed by Chinese Consul General in Lahore Mr. Zhao Shiren while speaking at the inaugural ceremony of “China Intangible Cultural Heritage” Exhibition at Pakistan (China) Shandong Chamber of Commerce (PCSCC)Building in Lahore.
The event was attended besides others, by Ms. Cheng Xiaonong-Vice President PCSCC, Cao Ke, Deputy Consul General of China, Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani-Secretary General Pakistan China Friendship Association (PCFA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Usman Shahjehan General Secretary PCFA Punjab apart from Senior Members of PCSCC.
Zhao Shiren, mentioned that Chinese Province Shandong was at eastern side on Yellow River and known for its Taoist and World famous Confucian heritages, having one of the China peaks Taishan feature shrines and stone tables and pilgrimages trails. He said that, showcasing Shandong China in Lahore was set to help understanding one of the oldest culturally rich civilizations of China which was very important to learn from their experiences in various walks of life during their tenures. He further said that, World renowned Confucian wisdom was already known across the globe and Chinese were proudly inviting people to see and to learn from it.
The Chinese Deputy Consul General Cao Ke, while explaining about the initiative said that Shandong had played major role in Chinese history since the beginning of Chinese civilization amd served as a pivotal cultural icon.
PCSCC Vice President Ms. Cheng Xiaonong while welcoming the distinguished guests explained that while showcasing Shandong China for the first time in Pakistan, starting from Qilu Culture of China which refers to the Qi & Lu, will help the people to understand China more deeply. Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani also briefly spoke on the occasion and appreciated the initiative taken by PCSCC and wished them success in their endower.
Later on PCFA Punjab General Secretary Usman Shahjehan present souvenir to the Chief Guest and PCFA Khyber presented souvenir to Ms. Cheng Xiaonong. The large number of visitors showed their keen interest in the exhibition. –PR
