LAHORE: Leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq has strongly criticized the government and said that poverty, inflation and unemployment have become its trademarks.
Talking to media in Lahore, he said that from retreat in Kashmir to the ailing economy, the rulers have set every possible example of poor performance.
The Prime Minister may continue making tall claims and giving threats but the public knows his performance, he added.
Siraj-ul-Haq said that the country was created to make it an Islamic nation but in 73 years of democratic rules and martial laws, no one tried to make an Islamic Pakistan.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader said that JI has started the struggle against the oppressive elite, for which it will hold a rally on December 25 in Gujranwala. He said that the present and former rulers gave people the gifts of poverty, inflation and unemployment, which are the by-products of a capitalist economy.
