Six held during crackdown against drug pushers

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital territory police during a drive against anti-social elements arrested six outlaws including four drug peddlers in last 24 hours from different areas of the city. Secretariat police team arrested drug peddler namely Muhammad Naveed involved in drug peddling and recovered1050 gram hashish from him.
Kohsar police arrested drug peddler namely Ashiq and recovered 1190 gram heroin and 120 gram Ice from him. Similarly Koral and Shehzad Town police teams arrested two drug peddlers namely Rabnawaz and Shahzaib and recovered 2300 gram hashish from their possession and also arrested accused namely Hamad Dawood and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him.
Noon police team apprehended an accused namely Asad Hussain and recovered fake currency from him. Cases have been registered against the nominated accused and further investigation is underway.
Islamabad Capital Territory police have accelerated its efforts against criminal elements in the city to curb the crime and to save the lives and property of the citizens. Citizens are also requested to cooperate with police and inform about any suspicious activity around them.
