ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested six accused involved in street crimes and having illegal weapons.
Following the directions of the IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas a massive campaign against criminals is already on full swing.
According to the details a police team of Koral police station headed by SHO Koral Muhammad Azeem Minhas with other officials arrested an accused namely Sadiq. The accused was involved in looting a citizen in gunpoint and injuring him during resistance. Police team also recovered cash worth Rs. 850,000 and weapons used in the crime. Police team had also sent their 03 accomplices to jail and 350,000 rupees were also recovered from their possession.
Furthermore, Karachi company police station team arrested 04 accused during snap-checking who were identified as Numan, Waqar, Asad Khan and Javed and recovered 04 pistols with ammunition. Cases against the accused have been registered and further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas said that Islamabad police is taking all out efforts to curb the crime in the city adding that no stone would be unturned until it’s elimination.
