Six Inspectors Promoted to DSP rank

ISLAMABAD: Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Establishment Abdul Haq Imrani chaired a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting to review the service records of officers awaiting promotion from Inspector to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). The committee submitted its recommendations for the promotion of six Inspectors to the posts of DSP to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
Earlier, 10 DSPs were promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP). The Islamabad Police has seen the highest number of officer promotions during the 2024–25 period.
IGP Islamabad congratulated the newly promoted officers and extended his best wishes.
He directed the Departmental Promotion Committee to ensure that all vacant posts are filled in a timely manner.
On this occasion, he conveyed a message to the promoted officers, stating that departmental advancement and an increase in rank within the police service reflect a corresponding rise in responsibilities.
“I hope you will take all possible measures to serve and protect citizens through the uniform implementation of the law, adherence to merit, and the provision of the best possible service.
All police officers should make public service and modern community policing their motto by utilizing their professional skills,” he added.
The newly promoted officers expressed their gratitude to the IGP Islamabad and affirmed their commitment to discharging their responsibilities diligently.
They pledged to continue playing an active role in the improvement of the police force and other matters by performing their duties in accordance with the principles of public service, protection, and community policing — with even greater effort and dedication than before.
