Six suspects rounded up during search operation

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted search operation in the jurisdiction of PS Sabzi Mandi. A total of 180 suspects were inspected through screening of 150 houses, 70 shops and 10 hotels. During the search operation, six suspects were rounded up and later shifted to various police station for further interrogation.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed has said that the purpose of these search operations was to heightened the security of the Capital and to curb crime at large. He further directed all cop officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. The DIG emphasized that it was the collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and to inform the cops for action against them. ‘Safety of life and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no stone would be unturned in this regard’ , the DIG added.
