Six trapped in flood Water rescued

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, a special diving team of the Islamabad Police was formed during the heavy monsoon rains to deal with emergency situations in the federal capital.
The purpose of this team is to provide immediate assistance to citizens in case of an emergency.

In this regard, the diving team and Shehzad Town police team of the Islamabad Police acted swiftly and rescued six family members, including three children, who were trapped in floodwater.
The water had entered homes due to the overflow of the Korang Nullah, leaving two men, a woman, and three young children stranded in one house.
As soon as a call was received on the emergency helpline “Pukar-15,” the Islamabad Police teams responded promptly.
IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, praised the police teams for their quick response and professional execution of duties, and announced rewards for them.
