ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops on Wednesday arrested 17 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered rickshaw and weapons from their possession.
According to details, following the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed, all officials of Capital Cops have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers. Following the given directives, PS Tarnol apprehended three accused namely Jabber Ali, Kaseer and Dansih and recovered snatched rickshaw and two 30-bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. PS Secretariat arrested three accused Qamer Shahzad, Nadeem Tahir and Hasnain, involved in rash driving.
PS Golra busted two namely Shams–ur-Rehman and Sulman, involved in careless driving. PS Industrial Area booked two accused Ayub Maseeh and Yaqoob Maseeh, involved in illegally cylinder filling. PS Shams Colony caught four accused Muhammad Rashid, Muhammad Tanveer, Zeshan and Muhammad Bilal, involved in one-wheeling while PS Koral arrested two accused Tamoor Tariq and Usama Siraj and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against the nabbed accused while further investigation is underway from the accused. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated this performance and directed all SHOs for effective crackdown against those involved in drug peddling activities. He called for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
