ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Shams Colony police station team has arrested two wanted members of a snatcher gang and recovered three snatched motorbikes, eight mobile phones, cash and weapons used in crime from their procession. The arrested accused were identified as Tariq and Sohail.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused also confessed to being involved in numerous criminal activities in the jurisdiction of twin cities. Moreover, cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, said that Islamabad Police are continuously working to eliminate the crime from the capital. Additionally officers are directed for an effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and to take all possible measures to protect the life and property of the citizens.
He further said that no criminal element will be allowed to disturb the peace of the people. Citizens are urged to report any suspicious individual or activity through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
