ISLAMABAD: Islamabad CIA police team apprehended two members of a snatchers gang involved in series of snatching incidents and recovered mobile phone, ATM cards, bike and weapon used in crime.
IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan had categorically ordered all zonal officers to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in looting innocent people. Following these directives, a police team of CIA arrested two members of a snatchers gang involved in numerous incidents of snatching. The accused were identified as Kashif alias Kashi S/o Muhammad Nisar and Basharat Ali S/o Sardar Khan. Police recovered Mobile phones, cards including CNIC, ATM, one bike and weapon with ammunition from their possession. The accused were involved in looting citizens on gunpoint. Case has been registered against them at PS Industrial Area and further investigation is underway. IGP Islamabad Muhammad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan have appreciated the police team performance and further directed all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminals. “The officers with good performance will be rewarded while the officers showing laxity towards their official duties will be dealt with iron hands”, he maintained.
