-26 busted for SOPs violations

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops busted 26 besides sealing a snooker club over violation of the lockdown orders.
According to the details, the police have been striving hard to implement the orders issued by the Capital city administration so as to contain the spread of coronavirus in the city. On the directions of SSP Investigation Syed Mustafa Tanveer, SP Sadar Zone held a meeting with the concerned officials and asked them to implement the SOPs on Covid-19 in letter and spirit. Magistrate Sohail Abbas Bhatti, SDPO Margalla Malik Bashir, and SHO Karachi Company Muhammad Asif, acting upon the directions, arrested 26 persons present at the snooker club and also sealed the premises. The police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway.
Cops also arrested 4 beggars and four suspects during search operation in the area.
SSP has said that the police was helping the administration in implementation of the SOPs. He has also appealed to the citizens to follow the SOPs.
19 including 11 alm seekers rounded up
ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer has said that Islamabad police is trying its best to secure the capital and to ensure the safety of its citizens.
During the past 24 hours, 19 criminals including 11 alm-seekers were arrested during crackdown against outlaws and professional alm-seekers. According to details, PS Ramana arrested a bike lifter namely Umer Ejaz and recovered stolen motorbike from him. PS Aabpara caught accused Awais Masih and recovered 10 wine bottles. PS Shams Colony booked accused Ehsan Tariq and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him. PS Koral nabbed accused Zaheer Ahmed and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
PS Industrial Area apprehended two accused Ameer and Basit and recovered 430 gram hashish and 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from their possession. PS Margalla arrested accused Imran Naseer. PS Golra booked accused Muhammad Saleem and recovered six cartridges of pistol 30 bore from him.
Separate cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Furthermore, during special crackdown, police teams arrested 11 professional alm-seekers from various areas of the city.
SSP Operations Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
