Hambantota: Pakistani pacer Sohail Tanvir left Lanka Premier League (LPL) despite being tested COVID-19 negative.
Taking to Twitter, Tanvir shared he has tested COVID-19 negative, still, he will be not taking part in the league. “So finally I have tested negative and flying back home soon, unfortunately, won’t be taking part in LPL, wishing my team Kandy Tuskers all the best for the remaining matches,” he wrote.
It must be noted here that Tanvir was tested positive for a widely-spread virus upon his arrival in Sri Lanka. The cricketer said he was asymptomatic after the test result and isolated himself as a precaution.
Earlier, Shahid Afridi left LPL halfway due to personal reasons. Afridi was representing Galle Gladiators and scored 70 runs in three matches with a fifty and at an average of 23.33. – Agencies
