BEIJING: As more South Asian political leaders congratulate the new leadership of the Communist Party of China, they also look forward to China’s role in further maintaining peace and stability across the globe in these challenging times.
Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday extended the heartiest congratulations and warmest felicitations to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee. “Your reelection is undoubtedly a fitting recognition of the trust and confidence reposed on you for your able leadership, achievements and vision by the people of China and the CPC,” she said. She added that Bangladesh welcomes Chinese endeavors to build a community with a shared future for mankind and appreciates the continued support of socioeconomic development aspirations of developing countries.
Hasina said in a press statement that she believes Xi and China “will contribute further to maintaining peace and stability across the globe in this challenging time”.
She also said she looks forward to working in close cooperation with Chinese leaders “to enhance the bilateral engagements further, strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries and peoples, and promote peace and stability in the region and the world”.
