ISLAMABAD: The police and local administration have assured the residents that they have been striving for early disposal of their complaints and provide them relief.
The police is holding live and physical ‘Open Katchehries’ on the directions of Inspector-General Police Islamabad, Qazi Jamil ur Rehman. A day earlier, SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer along with ADC(G) Rana Waqas held an ‘Open Katchehry’ at ITP FM 92.4 Radio from 5pm to 7pm.
According to the police officials, over 100 residents participated in the proceedings through call or SMS and apprised the officers about their issues. Majority of the cases related to district administration, CDA, Traffic, cases about land in the city police stations. The officers issued directions to the concerned to resolve the public issues. They told the callers that the purpose of ‘Open Katchehries’ was to resolve public issues at the earliest. In continuation to the same, zonal SPs and SDPOs also held Katchehries in their respective areas in which a large number of residents participated. The officials also directed the concerned for early disposal of complaints on merit, said the officials.
