ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Islamabad, Muhammad Arslan Shahzaib chaired a meeting to review the progress of investigations into robberies and other serious crimes.
The meeting was attended by zonal SPs and investigating officers, focused on ensuring effective investigations to secure convictions and deliver justice to citizens.
During the meeting, SSP Investigation emphasized that thorough investigations play a vital role in ensuring criminals receive appropriate punishments while safeguarding citizens’ rights.
He urged officers to complement traditional investigation methods with advanced technologies to enhance policing standards.
SSP Investigation reviewed ongoing cases of heinous crimes and issued directives to improve the quality of investigations. Additionally, underperforming officers faced penalties, while those demonstrating exemplary performance were rewarded with commendation certificates and cash prizes. He instructed officers to conclude pending cases on merit and submit strong, evidence-based challans to the relevant courts. He stressed the importance of obtaining maximum convictions for offenders to effectively deter crime.
Additionally, SSP Investigation Islamabad directed the immediate apprehension of absconders of criminal groups and prioritized the arrest of proclaimed offenders. Our top priority is to protect the lives and property of citizens, he added.
