SSP Investigation reviews cases, orders transparent, timely investigations

ISLAMABAD: SSP Investigation Islamabad Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt met case complainants and investigating officers under the open-door policy. He reviewed the current progress of ongoing investigations and the quality of investigative work.
Issuing directions on the occasion, he instructed that all cases be investigated and concluded as soon as possible in accordance with legal requirements, merit, and complete transparency.
He emphasized that modern forensic facilities, technical evidence, and scientific methods should be used to make investigations more effective, and challans should be submitted to courts in a timely manner so that accused persons can be brought to justice.
The SSP Investigation said that providing protection and every possible relief to complainants, along with timely justice, is the foremost priority.
He directed all investigating officers to take strict legal action against criminals involved in serious crimes, narcotics, illegal weapons, and major offenses against citizens.
He further instructed senior officers to expedite the resolution of public complaints, continuously monitor the investigative process, and utilize all professional capabilities to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
He added that if any citizen, even after registration of an FIR, feels their grievance is not being addressed or they are being harassed, they should immediately contact emergency helpline Pucar-15, or visit his office.
Ensuring citizens’ safety, protection of life and property, and timely redressal of grievances is the top priority of Islamabad Police, SSP Investigations said.
