SSP Ops chairs Crime Control Meeting

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the SSP Investigations chaired a crime meeting in the city zone to review the crime situation. DPO, SDPOs, SHOs, and investigation officers from the city zone attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the overall crime situation in the city zone.
Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Investigation warned the officers that no laxity towards the safety and security of citizens would be tolerated and strict disciplinary action would be initiated against officials showing negligence towards their official duty. She further directed all officers to arrest offenders involved in heinous crimes, especially those involved in murder cases, and increase the ratio of challan of cases and recoveries.
The SSP Investigation asked police officials to accomplish all their responsibilities in a professional manner. She also directed the concerned officials to submit challans of pending cases and a report in this regard to her office.
She asked the officers to develop a comprehensive strategy for crime prevention and drug elimination.
The campaign against beggars should be accelerated, and their facilitators should be identified and arrested.
The SSP Investigation said that the DPO, SDPOs, SHOs, and investigation officers must remain in touch with the complainants and keep them informed about progress in their cases so that public trust in police could be raised.
She strictly directed the concerned officers to make patrolling more efficient and effective in their respective areas and check suspected and unregistered motorbikes and take prompt action against them.
