ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan, held a meeting with a delegation of the Islamabad Real Estate Agents’ Association to discuss law and order, citizen safety and property-related issues in the federal capital.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the activities of land grabber mafias, fraud in property sales and rentals and growing security concerns regarding non-local tenants. SSP Operations Islamabad stressed that complete verification of tenants’ credentials and formal registration of tenancy agreements must be ensured to prevent crimes and avoid any untoward incidents.
He further emphasized the need for enhanced cooperation between police and estate agents, urging that any suspicious activities or illegal transactions be reported to the police without delay.
Appreciating the role of estate agents in the community, SSP Operations Islamabad further said that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is a shared responsibility, and all relevant stakeholders must contribute effectively to this collective effort.
