SSP Ops order indiscriminate action against crooks

ISLAMABAD: SSP operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib khan presided over an important meeting to review the crime situation. The meeting was attended by Zonal SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs of all police stations.
During the meeting, introductory discussions were held with all officers and the performance of each police station was reviewed. On this occasion, he issued directives to the officers stating that no compromises would be made regarding the rise in crime.
Stringent legal action will be taken against those involved in serious crimes and they will be brought to justice. Efforts should be made to arrest proclaimed offenders as a priority and investigations must be conducted based on merit.
Arrested criminals must be charged based on solid evidence to ensure they are appropriately punished. Patrolling should be purposeful and more effective. Actions against arms display and the land mafia will be carried out without discrimination.
He further said that the arrest of criminals involved in serious crimes and wanted offenders will be ensured. SHOs must ensure the effective resolution of citizens complaints at the police station level addressing their issues on a priority basis.
Strict action will be taken against bribery, corruption and unprofessional attitude. Additionally, misuse of power will not be tolerated. The protection of citizens lives, property and dignity is paramount.
For crime prevention effective and coordinated strategies will be implemented against organized criminal groups. Efforts will also be made to arrest the accomplices and facilitators of arrested criminals. The arrest and recovery of criminals involved in motorcycle and car thefts will be ensured, he added.
