SSP Security directs for top notch security

ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the SSP Security Muhammad Sarfraz Virk held an important meeting at his office.
The meeting was attended by SPs, DSPs, and branch heads. While addressing the officers SSP Security stated that the checking process at all checkpoints in the High Security zone should be made more effective.


Additionally, officers should audit their staff and other resources and prepare a written report. All officers must ensure that no personnel are assigned duties at locations where their presence is unnecessary. Furthermore, all police personnel must ensure timely attendance at their duties.
He further emphasized that during the holy month of Ramadan police officers should be present with their subordinate staff on duties for Sehr and Iftar. Welfare of police officials should also be ensured, he added.
The SSP Security Division further said that the security of all government and private institutions, embassies and United Nations offices in the High Security zone is a top priority.
In this regard, briefings should be provided to the staff on a daily basis regarding the proper use of weapons, staying alert on duty and performing their duties efficiently. All personnel on duty must wear proper uniform and use all safety gadgets including bulletproof helmet and jacket.
At the end of the meeting, SSP Security Division stated that strict departmental action would be taken against any police officer found negligent or careless in performing their duties.
