Manchester: England’s prolific all-rounder Ben Stokes has been honored with Order of the British Empire, the most excellent order of the British Empire, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William presented the honor to Stokes for his World Cup-winning performance for England, which won the mega event for the first time in cricket history.

The left-handed batsman struck 84 runs off 98 balls with the help of five boundaries and two sixes to help his team put a strong case against New Zealand in the mega event’s final. He also scored eight runs off three balls in super-over.
It must be noted here that earlier BBC awarded Stokes the ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ for his memorable last year on the field while leading England to World Cup title and Ashes Series 2019-20.
