Southampton: Ben Stokes, stand-in captain for England in the first Test against West Indies, did hard-hitting practice in the nets.
In a video posted by ESPNcricinfo, Stokes can be seen smacking the ball hard and the sound coming from the bat made the cricket fans across the world excited as the game is all set to return after a gap of almost three years.
It must be noted here that England will take on West Indies in the first Test of three matches series tomorrow [8 July] at Rose Bowl, Southampton.
This will be the first international match after March 13 when all sports, in fact, the whole came at a standstill due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
