Students’ delegation meets DIG Operations

ISLAMABAD: Students’ delegation met with the DIG Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari. The students were informed about the professional capabilities of Islamabad Capital Police and the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order in the federal capital.
During the meeting, the DIG Operations emphasized the public’s responsibility to contribute to the betterment of society while urging the police to focus on their duties.
He said that, a new strategy has been implemented in the past month to combat crime, and students are encouraged to highlight the positive aspects as well.
He further said that if citizens witness any crime, they should immediately report it to the police.
The safety of the lives and property of the public is a top priority for Islamabad Capital Police.
Continuous work is underway to enhance facilities for citizens.
Several initiatives have been taken for the welfare of police officers and personnel, with more in progress, he added.
At the end, he also said that self-accountability is ongoing within the department, which is of fundamental importance. While a zero tolerance policy will be adopted on bribery and excessive use of authority.
