KABUL: Taliban have no designs for interfering in the matters pertaining to China’s Xinjiang province and in fact a Taliban government at Kabul will ensure that Afghan soil is not used by any group or gang against China and all other countries in region and across globe.
These views were expressed by Suhail Shaheen, spokesman of Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan in an interview with The Daily Mail.
Her said in fact Taliban leadership desires wonderful relations with China and Taliban leader foresee an diplomatic and political relationship with Beijing once they form the government at Kabul.
To a question Taliban spokesman said that whatever was in Xinjiang was China’s internal matter and Taliban leadership is maintaining a strong policy of not interfering in internal issues of all sovereign States.
He said Taliban leadership was actually thankful to Chinese leaders for facilitating rounds of peace dialogues for Afghanistan and believe Beijing would continue to play its role for peace and development of Afghanistan in future.
“Just recently a high level Taliban delegation visited Beijing and held detailed discussions with Chinese officials and leaders and held very fruitful discussions with them”, Shaheen added
To another question he said that Taliban leadership will also make it a point to maintain exemplary relations with Islamabad and will not tolerate any anti-Pakistan element to operate on Afghan soil.
He comprehensively denied Taliban having any link or connection with TTP or al-Qaeda and said that the stories of Taliban being brutal to Afghan people were just the tales being knitted and spread by Western Media and welcomed the global journalists to visit the Afghanis areas under Taliban control to witness the actual state of affairs.
