Teenager boy murdered at market

RAWALPINDI: A teenage boy was killed in incident of target killing here on Sunday.
According to details, unidentified culprits riding a motorcycle sprayed bullets at a teenager in Katarian Market, New Town police station jurisdiction, Rawalpindi. As a result of firing 15-year-old Adeel s/o Muhammad Irfan, a resident of Asghar Mall Rawalpindi was killed on the spot and the attackers sped the scene.
The body was shifted to hospital where it was handed over to heirs after postmortem and the police after registering a case against unknown assailants have started an investigation.

FIA busts individuals selling
fake MDCAT papers

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday nabbed a group of individuals selling fake papers for the Medical Dental and College Admission Test (MDCAT) being held across the country.
Taking to Twitter, the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) confirmed that the papers obtained from their custody are fake.” The MDCAT examination has started and remains fully secure,” the commission said in a tweet. After multiple delays and hiccups, thousands of aspirants are appearing in the MDCAT exam today.
The MDCAT is taking place in designated centres under the strict implementation of the coronavirus-related standard operating procedures, the PMC stated.

20 suspects rounded up
during search operation

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops conducted search operation in the jurisdiction of PS Koral and roounded up 20 suspects. During the operation, around 560 persons were checked by screening 300 houses and 20 suspects were shifted to the police station for interrogation.
DIG Operations has said that the purpose of these search operations was to heightened the security of Federal capital and to curb the crime. He further directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities. The DIG emphasized that it is collective responsibility of every person of the society to remain alert against those involved in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them. “Safety of life and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no stone would be left unturned in this regard†, the DIG added.

According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Operations tasked all police officials to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements. In pursuance of these directions, SP Industrial Area Zone Zubair Ahmed Sheikh constituted special teams for checking and vigilance in the area.
One of the teams including DSP Khalid Mehmud Awan, SHO Turab-ul-Hassan, Sub-Inspector Mansoor Ahmed nabbed an accused Sabz Ali and recovered six 9 MM pistols and 12 magazines from his possession. Case has been registered against him and further investigation is underway. DIG Operations has appreciated the overall performance and directed for effective policing through out the city.
