‘Thori Kam Captaincy Karay’ Akhtar suggests Rizwan

Rawalpindi: Former speedster Shoaib Akhtar was frustrated with wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan continuously guiding the bowlers behind the stumps during first ODI against Zimbabwe at Pindi Stadium.
Speaking on PTV Sports, Akhtar requested Rashid Latif to ask Rizwan to speak less behind the stumps and let the bowlers bowl accordingly. “Call Rizwan tomorrow and ask him to speak less behind the stumps. Ask him to not act as captain,” he said.
Akhtar recalled how Rizwan was continuously guiding Imad to ball outside which in result costed runs and it made him frustrated. “It was very uncomfortable for me to be honest. And his voice was more visible on television due to no crowd noise,” he highlighted.
It must be noted here that Pakistan won the first ODI of three matches series by 26 runs thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi (5-49) and Wahab Riaz (4-41) who bowled well for their team to survive brilliant knock of 112 by Brendan Taylor. – Agencies
