-Stolen cash worth Rs2,50,000 recovered

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops’ PS Khanna, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, caught three members of a burglars’ gang, here this Tuseday, while recovering cash worth Rs2,50, 000 from their possession.
According to details, at a tip off, SP Rural Zone Farooq Amjad Buttar constituted a team comprising officials of PS Khanna, to raid at the hideouts of the burglars. The team, under the supervision of DSP Mubarak Ali including SHO Khanna SI Muhammad Kamal, ASI Zaheer and others successfully apprehended three burglars. The nabbed accused were later identified as Yasir Hussain, Nazir and Ilyas. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of striking at different parts of the city while the cops are hopeful of more recoveries from the accused.
SSP Operations Dr Syed Mustafa Tanvir, on the other hand, has appreciated the team’s performance while directing for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to the masses. He said that the performance in this regard would be reviewed at a continuous basis.
ASF books two with arms
ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Forces (ASF) arrested two culprits with arms at New Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday. According to details, the ASF during search of a suspected vehicle in car parking area of New Islamabad International Airport recovered shotgun, five magazines, 57 bullets and six rounds. The ASF arrested impounded the vehicle with recovered weapons, ammunition, arrested two people onboard identified as Hamza Iftikhar and Shafqat Ali. The detainees claimed that recovered arms were licensed but they failed to produce the license and were being investigated.
