ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops’ PS Kohsar police team busted 03 members of a snatchers gang involved in numerous snatching incidents in various areas of Islamabad.
According to the details, a PS Kohsar police team, used the latest technology and human resources and arrested 03 members of a snatcher gang involved in numerous incidents of snatching, street crimes in different areas PS Kohsar jurisdiction.
The accused were identified as Afzal Ahmed, Zain Abbas and Khalil. Police team have also recovered a snatched mobile phone, cash, gold ornaments, pistol with ammunition from their possession.
During preliminary investigation the accused have confessed their involvement in numerous snatching incidents in the areas of PS Kohsar. Cases have been registered and further investigation is underway.
DIG (Operations) Sohail Zafar Chatha directed all zonal officers to intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.
