Three wanted snatchers caught

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Anti Robbery Dacoity Unit police team arrested three wanted members of a snatcher gang involved in snatching activities and recovered snatched cash, mobile phones, motorbike and weapons used in crime from their possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending three wanted members of a snatcher gang.
The accused were identified as Faizan, Usman, and Waqas. Police team also recovered snatched cash, mobile phones, motorbike and weapons used in crime from their possession.
During the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to being involved in snatching activities in the twin cities. Cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and ensured the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
