Three women, man caught for looting homes as maids

ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency; CIA of Islamabad has busted an inter-provincial gang of female thieves including a man, involved in stealing valuables from the houses inguise of maids and recovered gold ornaments and rolex watch along other valuables worth Rs.15 million from them. DIG Operations constituted a special team following the directivess of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, to ensure arrest of culprits involved in looting houses. The team headed by SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal including DSP CIA Hakim Khan, ASIs Rana Tasneem, Basharat Usman, and Lady Constable Rehana Kausar succeeded to arrest three women including a men involved in ransacking houses after being employed there as maids. The nabbed women were identified as Saba bibi, Fouzia bibi resident of Sheikhupura, Tahira bibi resident of District Chiniot and Anyat Ali resident of Sheikhupura. The police team also recovered gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs.15million from them.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed of ransack houses after getting employment there as maids. Further investigation is underway from them cases have been registered against them at various police stations.
DIG Operations has appreciated this performance of police team and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for the members of police team.

7 caught with arms, drugs

ISLAMABAD: Industrial Zone’s PS Sabzi Mandi, PS Shams Colony and PS Industrial Area, have been conducting various operations against anti-social elements. Thus, during such operations, some seven accused were arrested while recovering charas, liquor and illicit arms from their possession. Separate cases have been registered against the accused, respectively.

21kg heroin seized at Islamabad Airport

ISLAMABAD: Airport Security Force; ASF on Thursday foiled a bid to smuggle a large quantity of heroin abroad by arresting an accused at Islamabad International Airport.
According to details, the personnel of Airport Security Force (ASF) arrested driver of a car at the airport and recovered over 21 kilograms of heroin hidden in six packets worth millions of rupees. The ASF handed over the driver, Muhammad Amin, to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further investigation.
