Timely justice, public safety our top priority: IGP

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, holds a key meeting at the Central Police Office Islamabad. The meeting reviewed the security arrangements in the federal capital, investigations of serious cases, and the prompt redressal of citizens’ complaints.

The meeting was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Security Muhammad Atique Tahir, AIGs, SSPs, SPs, and other senior officers.
During the meeting, IGP Islamabad conducted a comprehensive assessment of the law and order situation in the city, including the security arrangements for the routes, residences, and other important locations related to foreign delegations and cricket teams.
He directed the officers to ensure foolproof security for foreign guests, citizens, and key personalities. Additionally, he instructed that the public be informed in a timely manner about alternate traffic routes to prevent inconvenience.
He emphasized that the top priority of the police is the protection of life and property of the citizens and the provision of every possible facility. Special focus was also given to improving the investigation system during the meeting.
The IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi reviewed the progress of serious criminal investigations, ensuring transparency in the investigative process and issued directives to resolve all cases purely on merit as soon as possible. He made it clear that any negligence in the delivery of justice will not be tolerated.
Following the meeting, IGP Islamabad, accompanied by SSP Investigation and other officers, met with citizens, listened to their complaints directly, and issued orders for their immediate resolution.
He instructed the officers to prioritize the resolution of public issues and to make the investigation wing more active and effective.
IGP Islamabad also reaffirmed his commitment that Islamabad Police will continue to take all possible steps for the safety of citizens, maintenance of law and order, and timely delivery of justice.
