Transport woes leave expatriates stranded

LAHORE: As Eid approaches, expatriates in Lahore are facing difficulties traveling to their hometowns to celebrate with their loved ones.
According to reports, long queues at bus stations and a shortage of tickets have left many frustrated and unable to secure transportation.
Some expatriates have also reported cases of overcharging by transport providers, which has added to their woes. Despite the difficulties, the transport department has warned against overloading and overcharging, promising to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
However, public transporters have also voiced their concerns, stating that returning empty after a trip does not cover their expenses.
They have assured passengers that they are doing their best to provide adequate transportation ser-vices.
