ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan on Friday has clarified that Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is not being renamed. While responding to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nafeesa Shah’s statement, the minister said that the government has started a comprehensive Ehsaas Program and enhanced its allocations to 190 billion rupees from 100 billion rupees.
He said under this initiative, several programs are being launched for the poor segments of the society.
The reaction came after PPP’s Nafeesa Shah criticized the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of changing the name of BISP.
