ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Police Industrial Area and Shahzad Town police teams arrested two wanted members of a snatcher and thief gang involved in numerous snatching and theft activities and recovered stolen mobile phones and weapons used in crime from their possession.
Following the special directions of DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city. Following these directions, the Shahzad Town police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a snatcher gang involved in numerous snatching activities. The accused was identified as Muhammad Iqbal. Police team also recovered weapons used in crime from his possession.
Similarly, the Industrial Area police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a thief gang involved in numerous theft activities. The accused was identified as Muhammad Asif.
Police team also recovered a stolen mobile phone from his possession. Cases were registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and ensured the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
