ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops, in a bid to tighten noose around anti-social elements, rounded 10 including two members of a dacoits’ gang, from various areas of the city while recovering snatched mobile phone, motorbike, kites and weapons from them.
According to details, Capital Cops have enhanced vigilance in the city following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar khan and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-din Syed. Thus, following these directions SP Saddar Omer Khan constituted a police team under the supervision of SDPO Shalimar Rana Abdul Wahab including SHO PS Ramna SI Rasheed Ahmed and ASI Ameer Ali.
The given team ensured high vigilance in the area and succeeded to nab two involved in various dacoity incidents. The arrested accused were later identified as Zahoor Rehman s/o Abdul wali r/o Dhoke Kashmirain and Usman s/o Mobrak r/o Mara Badia, Islamabad. The cops’ team recovered eight snatched mobile phones and a motorbike from their posession. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed their involvement in various incidents of cash and mobile snatching. Separate cases have been registered against the accused at PS Ramna while further investigation is underway.
PS Tarnol, on the other hand, booked accused Abdul Nasir and recovered kites and other material from him while PS Bara Kahu apprehended two namely Sabbir Hussain and Shazaib and recovered a 30-bore pistol along one dagger from their possession. Similarly, PS Bani Gala booked accused Faisal and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him. PS Sabzi Mandi caught two accused Muhammad Bashir and Muhammad Younas and recovered one 30-bore pistol along one dagger from their possession. PS Noon arrested accused Qasim and recovered cash from him while PS Sihala caught accused Adnan Wakeel and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him.
Separate cases have been registered against the arrested accused while further investigation is underway from them. Furthermore police also arrested 6 proclaimed offenderfrom various parts of the city.
DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-din Syed has said that the social evils would be curbed and those backing drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till the elimination of anti-social elements.
