-Stolen vehicles worth Rs 8.5m recovered

ISLAMABAD: Anti Vehicle Lifting Unit (AVLU) of Islamabad Capital Police arrested two members of inter provincial car lifter gang and recovered four vehicles worth Rs 8.5 million from their possession.
Following the directions of the IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements involved in bike and car lifting incidents in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, special tasks were assigned to SSP Investigation and teams were constituted under the supervision of DSP (RDU), the incharge AVLU Rana Muhammad Ashraf along with other officials were directed to ensure effective action against those involved in car theft activities.
Following these directions, the police teams used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two members of inter-provincial car lifters gang and recovered four vehicles worth Rs 8.5 million from their possession.
The car lifters were identified as Haris Khan and Muhammad Jahangir During the preliminary investigation, the accused have confessed that they have committed several car lifting activities in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other districts of Punjab. Numerous cases were already registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
Three snatchers held,
valuables recovered
ISLAMABAD: PS Shahzad Town arrested three wanted members of a snatchers’ gang, involved in numerous snatching activities and recovered snatched mobile phones, weapons with ammunition and motorbike used in crime from their possession.

Following these directions, a Shahzad Town police station team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending three members of a snatcher gang involved in looting pizza delivery boys and citizens at gunpoint. The accused were identified as Ahmed Farhan, Usman and Nasir.
Police team also recovered snatched mobile phones, weapons with ammunition and motorbike from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, the arrested accused confessed their involvement in numerous snatching activities. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
11 arrested, drugs
& arms recovered
ISLAMABAD: Cops apprehended 11 outlaws from different areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession. Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directives, the Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Sajjad and recovered one 30 bore pistol with ammunition from his possession. Likewise, the Bhara Kahu Police team arrested two accused namely Adnan and Hashim and recovered 235 gram heroin and 10 gram ice from their possession.
Similarly, the Shahzad Town police team arrested three accused namely Ahmed, Usman and Nasir and recovered one 9mm and two 30 bore pistol with ammunition from their possession. The Nilore police team arrested an accused namely Kamran and recovered 1260 gram hashish from his possession.
Moreover, the Koral police team arrested two accused namely Bilal and Abdullah and recovered two 30 bore pistols from their possession. Sihala police team arrested an accused namely Atif Hussain involved in illigelly petrol selling. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
11 booked for various crimes
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad capital police have arrested 11 absconders involved in heinous crime during the last week.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, special tasks were assigned to all police officials to ensure the arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconders involved in heinous crimes.
During the crackdown, the Islamabad capital police teams of Secretariat, Margalla, Shalima, Aabpara, Bhara Kahu and women police station teams arrested 11 absconders during the last week.
