Two robbers arrested for murder during robbery

ISLAMABAD: Acting upon the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police continues its indiscriminate operations across the federal capital against criminal elements and those involved in street crimes.
In this regard, the Shams Colony police team apprehended two accused identified as Arshad Khalid and Kahaf who were involved in a robbery cum murder case in the jurisdiction of Shams Colony police station.
The police team recovered two pistols used in the crimes and a mobile phone snatched during the robbery. During the initial investigation, the accused confessed to committing multiple street crimes at gunpoint. They used to target pedestrians and shopkeepers, often opening fire on resistance. The accused had fled to Karachi after committing their crimes but were successfully tracked down.
