-Stolen cash, motorbike recovered

ISLAMABAD: Crime Investigation Agency; CIA of Capital Cops, arrested two wanted members of a criminal gang and recovered looted cash worth Rs.5, 25000 and motorbike along weapon used in crime cases.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in crime of heinous nature.
Owing to these efforts, SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal including DSP CIA Hakim Khan, ASI Zulfqar and other officials successfully arrested two members of wanted criminal gang. The arrested outlaws have been identified as Adnan Saeed Akhtar resident of Azad Kashmir and Junid Tahir resident of Rawalpindi. The police team also recovered snatched cash amounting to Rs. 5, 25000 and motorbike and one 30 bore illicit pistol along with ammunition used in crime incidents.
Moreover, during the preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in incidents of looting CSD in area of Lohibher police station and its surrounding along with their other accomplices. They have also remained jail birds for their involvement in different cases of dacoity and burglaries and Futher investigation is underway from them and police team is hopeful for more recovery from them.
DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials to ensure arrest of criminals at large and take effective policing measures in the city.
4700 vehicles fined over wrong parking
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police; ITP fined 4,700 vehicles over wrong parking during ongoing year and also impounded most of them in police stations creating problems in smooth flow of traffic.
According to details, SSP Traffic Farrukh Rasheed reviewed arrangements to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city. He was told that 4,700 vehicles were fined during current year for involvement in wrong parking.
The SSP directed all Zonal DSPs to ensure implementation on traffic laws through courteous attitude with citizens. He said that policy of `Phele Salam- Phir Kala’ should be adopted and people to be politely briefed about raffic laws.
The SSP Traffic said that it is the right of pedestrian to use footpath and no parking would be allowed there. He said that vehicles should be parked at lots specified at shopping centers while awareness campaign has been also launched to educate those citizens coming for shopping activities there.
The SSP Traffic Farrukh Rasheed said that it is our top priority to ensure convenience for road users by maintaining traffic discipline and every possible effort would be made for the purpose.
