U19 World Cup preparations begin

Lahore: The preparations for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2022 have started with a special camp that has commenced today at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC).
NHPC coaches Mohammad Yousuf, Grant Bradburn, Saqlain Mushtaq gave introduction lectures to the emerging stars.
All three of them guided players about modern-day cricket and advised them to be sincere and determined while playing for the country. As many as 26 players attended the opening day of the six-weeks long training camp while five will join later.
It must be noted that the Junio World Cup is scheduled to take place next year in West Indies.
On December 24, 31 probables were selected on the basis of their performance in PCB U19 three-day and one-day tournaments. However, Qasim Akram and Abdul Wahid Bangalzai made it into the list of players based on their performance in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’s First and Second XI Tournaments.
