LAHORE: The 2022 Spring Semester International Chinese Teacher Scholarship Promotion and Inauguration Ceremony of UET Han Feng Chinese Association were held in the Chinese Language Center of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, a teaching site of Confucius Institute at Faisalabad Agricultural University (CIUAF).
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Kamran, dean of Faculty of Electric Engineering, encouraged Pakistani students to reach out to the outside world and practice China-Pakistan friendship. He highlighted that learning Chinese well can not only broaden the horizons, but also provide great help for their future employment. Pakistani students can make contributions to Pakistan’s power development after studying in China.
After the scholarship promotion session, Dr. Nasir Malik, Associate Professor of UET, announced the inauguration of UET Chinese Association. The association’s activities include calligraphy, paper-cutting, visits by Pakistani and Chinese teachers and students to places of interest in Lahore, members playing roles in shooting Chinese micro-videos and celebrating traditional Chinese festivals.
Prof. Ma Xinjun, Chinese head of the teaching site of CIUAF in UET, reviewed the achievements of the Chinese Language Center in the past year and encouraged more students to study in China. -Agencies
