Uzbekistan reports 660 new virus cases

Тashkent: As of Aug. 19, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Uzbekistan reached 36 thousand 760, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry reported. 660 new cases were registered over the past 24 hours, while 643 patients recovered from coronavirus infection, and 5 people died. A gradual easing of quarantine requirements began in the country on Aug. 15. Public transport have resumed in Tashkent, including the metro, as well as air, auto and railway communications between the regions. Requirements have been established for the resumption of various activities, while some restrictions are still in force. The mode of “red”, “yellow” and “green” zones has been reintroduced. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev demanded that strict discipline should remain the paramount rule for everyone. – Agencies
