Veteran medics begin to leave Wuhan

WUHAN: A total of 40 medics dispatched by the Ministry of Veteran Affairs to support the hard-hit city of Wuhan has started to withdraw Sunday, after combating the novel coronavirus disease for some 40 days at the front line. The supportive medical team, which arrived in Wuhan on Feb. 11, is comprised of medics from hospitals affiliated to China’s veteran affairs authority in Jiangxi Province, Shanxi Province and Zhejiang Province. Working together with their counterparts in Wuhan, the supportive medics have treated 659 virus patients and successfully achieved goals of having no relapse of patients and no infections of medical staff. – Agencies
