ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Anti Vehicle lifting Unit (AVLU) police team arrested a wanted member of a car lifter gang involved in vehicle lifting activities and recovered a stolen vehicle from his possession.
Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions, the AVLU police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a car lifter gang. The accused was identified as Muhammad Yaqoob. Case was registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
Citizens are also urged to report any suspicious activities to the relevant police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” immediately, so that through mutual cooperation between the police and the public, crime can be eradicated from society.
