TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has dismissed the latest US economic pressure campaign, arguing that previous sanctions and pressure efforts have repeatedly failed to achieve their objectives.
In a statement shared on social media, Araghchi referenced past US policies, including what then US officials described as the “most crippling sanctions in history,” the “maximum pressure” campaign, and calls for Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” saying each had failed.
Referring to the latest measures as the “most crushing economic operation ever,” Araghchi said they were also “bound to fail.”
“We have seen this movie before. Same bull. Different bullies,” Araghchi posted on X. –Agencies
